Top 5 motivations for studying abroad at Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts

Alyssa Collins, junior, and Ashleigh Morgan, sophomore, will be studying in Kyoto, Japan, as participants in the Japanese Studies Program at Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts (DWCLA) this fall. Both students have studied Japanese here at MBU and are taking their love of Japan further by participating in this exciting exchange program! Here are their top 5 reasons for studying abroad:

  1. Pursue interest in Japanese history and culture, including anime
  2. Develop skills related to intended careers in international relations and business
  3. Reunite with former exchange students from DWCLA and make new friends
  4. Improve Japanese language proficiency, particulalry speaking and listening skills
