On October 19th, our exchange students and Spencer Center staff set off for an exciting day trip to Charlottesville together.
First, students explored the iconic Charlottesville City Market, where they enjoyed viewing stalls filled with handmade crafts, shopping for fresh produce, and even seeing a dance performance put on by a local dance class.
Next, they went across the street to the Downtown Mall, where they explored the variety of shops and public art. After all that shopping, hunger struck, so we all got together and had lunch at a local Japanese restaurant.
After a nice lunch, we headed to a nearby Asian market, where students stocked up on plenty of snacks, instant noodles, and all their favorite foods from home.
Of course, with Halloween right around the corner, we couldn’t finish the trip without a quick stop at Walmart to pick up some Halloween essentials. It was a fun-filled day packed with great company, local culture, and plenty of memories!
