Service Learning

The Spencer Center prepares graduates to be active, invested participants in improving their communities through volunteerism, advocacy, voting, and other efforts – this is what it means to be civically engaged.

The Spencer Center cultivates socially-responsible professionals through a range of programs including education on campus and active engagement off campus. We help students become more aware of social issues and civic problems, partnering with community members and organizations to provide hands-on opportunities for experiences that broaden student skills and capacity for effecting positive social change.
