Irish American Scholars Exchange Program

High performing students are invited to participate in the Irish American Scholars Program. This program allows MBU undergraduate students to apply to study at one of four highly-ranked universities in Northern Ireland. As this program is highly competitive, students are typically accepted for the fall semester only. It is possible to be accepted for a year, but this is quite rare.   Queen’s University Belfast

• Research-intensive
• Wide variety of course offerings in the liberal arts and sciences.

 Ulster University

• Research-intensive
• Wide variety of course offerings in the liberal arts and sciences.

  St. Mary’s University College

• Liberal Arts
• Education focused

  Stranmillis University College

• Teacher Training

 

Students pay MBU tuition and fees, and then room/board to their host institution.

*3.2 GPA required to apply. Must be a current Sophomore or Junior to apply. Students will list their top three choices, but their placement will be determined by staff. Only students 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate.
