What you’ll do:

Interns will learn direct-to-consumer wine marketing; wine production, service, and evaluation; customer service; event coordination; and social media management, all in a dynamic hospitality-focused environment. Interns will gain an in-depth understanding of Star in the Valley’s guest experience and hospitality models. As a member of our team, interns will:

• Participate in wine training to learn wine production, service, and analysis, as well as Star in the Valley’s product portfolio.
• Represent the winery at various functions, both in the tasting room and at remote, off-site events.
• Assist with daily tasting room operations, including providing customer service, wine education, and direct-to-consumer wine sales.
• Support remote events in Northern Virginia via planning, setting up, and operating remote wine tastings.
• Assist with digital content creation for the winery’s social media advertising.

Preferred Majors:

• Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations, Sales, Culinary arts, or Wine Studies

Preferred Skills:

• A successful candidate would be at least 21 years old and have an interest in wine, wine production, or value-added agricultural products. The candidate would also have an interest in hospitality and face-to-face customer interactions, as well as a desire to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

• iQuasar LLC will be responsible for scheduling the interview and the onboarding.

As a part of the process, the Intern will be on the payroll of iQuasar LLC.
