Public Works Civil Engineer
The City of Waynesboro seeks qualified applicants for the position of Civil Engineer. The candidate will be performing technical and professional work in the areas of utility management and operation, design and construction of municipal utilities, transportation network management and operation, stormwater plan review, and assistance on related projects that require engineering technical assistance. Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of civil engineering as applied to the development and construction of public works projects will be required.
A bachelor’s degree is required, and extensive experience is preferred. Possession of a driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Ability to obtain EIT within one year required, with registration as a licensed, Professional Engineer preferred. $92,000 to $105,000 DOE. Open until filled.
