Position Summary:
The McCree Center for Life Success is seeking a motivated and reliable college student to join our team as a Career Services Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting while assisting fellow students in their career development journey. The Career Services Assistant will support the Career Services Center staff by performing a variety of administrative and customer service tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Support:
Greet and assist students, faculty, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling.
Event Assistance:
Help organize and promote career fairs, workshops, and other events.
Assist with event setup, registration, and teardown.
Resource Management:
Maintain and update career resources, including brochures, guides, and online content.
Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials for career services.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Input and manage data related to student interactions and event attendance.
Assist in compiling reports and feedback for program assessment.
Peer Advising Support:
Provide basic information on career services and resources to fellow students.
Direct students to appropriate resources and staff for more in-depth assistance.
Special Projects:
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Career Services Center staff.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer service experience is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Flexible hours include the availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
