Position Title: Social Media Coordinator
Position Type: Student Worker
Position Objective: to keep social media outlets up-to-date and to foster a community of current students, local patrons, connected scholars, and alumni.
Supervisor: S&P Operations Manager
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- To develop both scheduled recurring and unique announcement posts for all program social media accounts; when first starting the position, the Social Media Coordinator will meet with the Operations Manager to create a social media plan and review best practices and guidelines;
- To maintain a social media presence that is in line with the professional tone, academic rigor, and visual graphic standards of the program;
- To collaborate with the Alumni Relations Student Representative to feature notable work by alumni of the program;
- To collaborate with faculty and the MFA students to announce and publicize performances and events.
Qualifications:
- Experience creating content for professional social media accounts, including being able to follow brand guidelines, developing plans for initiatives, and proofing final content for errors;
- Experience setting and following schedules for group work;
- Ability to collaborate and communicate well with others, especially following the lead of a team member and being able to synthesize ideas;
Strong attention to detail.
